sergeant bradley manning: i don't know what made you do it, but may god go with you

they say that communication is the greatest thing - well it sure contributes to good global relations and helps us understand when we have done wrong...

...so whilst in washington, the white house administration strives to shine-up a star-spangled sheen on the shooting-shower of shit it has demonically dumped on humanity, the rest of the world looks on, dismayed at the dead devastating decades of destruction, waiting for the united states army, without even drawing its wild wanton weapon from the holster of hypocrisy, to psychopathically shoot itself straight in the one firm foot which seeks to keep the all-apathetic american public grounded in the respectful realm of religious reality.

god bless bradley manning's supporters

to be honest i'm not at all religious, but this just seems to be the best way of expressing sympathetic support for someone in a horrendous hole who deserves respect for his actions.

spark up, i think you're meant to say that manning leaked half-the united states' top-secret files to expose american imperialist genocide and save humanity - or otherwise he could face the firing-squad for providing assitance to the enemy.

the flowery prose was good tho' - i especially liked the intermittent tramp-tramp marching rhythm marked-out by the heavy-booted alliteration. if the guy, gets life, at least he'll always have the unremovable comfort of your poetry in his darkest hours.

thanks, made to measure, it's funny how what you write can sometimes express the subject-matter in a way which you never consciously considered at the point of composition - obviously it was a bit over-crudely crafted, but it was the best i could do at the time, and that's what came out.

yes, i suppose i shouldn't really mention that the motivation for whistle-blowing can sometimes be hateful revenge against the evil abusive cunts who employ you, but it's true, of course - i was once in a whistle-blowing situation myself, albeit a much much much more minor one in comparison.

for the record, i am sure that united states citizen and marine bradley manning had no intention of aiding 'the enemy' and neither probably was he aware of julian assange's anti-american political stance - essentially, manning's intention was to expose to criticism institutionalized military murder and oppression, along with us government corruption. manning's action was the only method of bringing an unaccountable and conceited organization to conduct a proper self-examination, thus making said organization morally and operationally stronger - so how such action could be construed as of assistance to 'the enemy', i cannot understand, it in fact provided the us administration with an opportunity for self-improvement. trigger-happy and abusive soldiers do not assist their country, but make it more enemies, as do corrupt officials.

it is completely erroneous to tar manning and assange with the same brush - one had the prospect of public fame and personal wealth, whilst the outcome for the other could only ever have been court martial and imprisonment. from transcripts of his conversations, manning is clearly a person who cared about the human rights of others and knew that his actions were moral - that the american establishment cannot comprehend the morality of manning's actions is an indictment of their institutional culture.

punishment of bradley manning will simply serve to bring more shame and embarrassment upon the united states military and administration than have done their immoral actions already.

i keep telling you guys that poetry (art) and politics do not mix...

...but you wouldn't listen and now look what's happened as a result - spark up's ugly utterance.

the only subject for good poetry and art is love and the beauty of it.

the british government have already spent over 3 million on a permanent plod-around-the-clock guard on the ecuadorean embassy - is william hague sure that the real julian assange is holed-up inside, and not some well made-up paid-up double? the powerfully-connected man himself is probably sunning it on some palm-fringed beach in barbados or another such exotic bondian location...

...and now over in hong kong another whistle-blower's gone-off on one like a rogue ref on an apoplectic rampage - so seems this whole little covertly idiotic affair is sure gonna cost western governments a pretty penny or two...

...any more leaks and it could bust the wobbly old central banks...

no wonder obama's desperately keeping his finger stuck in the cia dyke...if he pulls it out there could be a deluge...

i don't actually see the point anymore, the whole thing's boiled right-over and volcanoed now, but you know our president, he's such a dear, such an obstinate interventionist, and i can't say i formally object to his ideological insistence on keeping it internal.
